The Scottish arm of the UK’s largest agricultural finance brokerage company is to open a new office at United Auctions’ Stirling Agricultural Centre as it expands into the east coast of Scotland.
Rural Finance, which specialises in rural business, retail, vehicle and commercial finance, is opening in Stirling for the first time with a second-floor suite at the headquarters of Scotland’s leading livestock auctioneers.
The independent company, which is made up of a network of rural financial specialists operating throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, deals annually with more than £120 million pounds of business.
The move to Stirling aims to extend the reach of the Scotland branch beyond its Ayrshire base where it has been operating since 1990.
The addition of Rural Finance at the Stirling facility follows the recent expansion of existing tenants into larger offices within the Centre, including CKD Galbraith’s national farm sales office, agricultural supply company Carrs Billington, full service law firm Ledingham Chalmers LLP and independent chartered accountants Johnston Carmichael.
The main building at the Agricultural Centre is now full.
Neil McLean, Group Managing Director at UA, who are landlords of the Centre said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rural Finance to Stirling. The Agricultural Centre has attracted national agricultural brands to open offices in the City of Stirling, many of whom have since grown and taken more space here. The addition of this independent finance broker broadens the Centre’s offering and provides an important service for customers.”
Andrew Glover, Managing Director of Rural Finance in Scotland, said: “Stirling Agricultural Centre is the ideal base for our work with the farming community, affording direct access to new and existing customers on a weekly basis in a central location from which we can build our service across the east coast.”
